These Terms of Service govern your use of qalamcodex.com and the services of Qalam Codex LLC (“Qalam Codex”, “we”, “us”), a Wyoming limited liability company. By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

Our services

We provide software development (Android apps, websites and web applications), UI/UX design, web hosting and maintenance, book publishing through our imprint Qalam Codex Press, and research consultancy. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline and price of each client project are set out in a written proposal or agreement, which takes precedence over these general terms.

Quotes, payment and invoices

• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• Projects may require an advance payment before work begins, with the balance due on delivery or according to agreed milestones.
• Invoices are issued by Qalam Codex LLC and are payable in the currency and by the method stated on the invoice.

Refunds and cancellations

If a project is cancelled before work begins, any advance payment is refunded in full. After work has begun, payment is due for work completed up to the date of cancellation, as set out in the project agreement.

Intellectual property

On full payment, the client owns the custom deliverables created specifically for them, unless the agreement says otherwise. We may retain rights to our pre-existing tools, code libraries and know-how. Books published by Qalam Codex Press remain subject to the rights and permissions of their authors and original publishers.

Open-access books

Open-access titles on this website are provided free of charge for personal, educational and non-commercial use, under the permissions granted by their rights holders. They may not be sold without permission.

Limitation of liability

This website and its content are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the amount paid to us for that project.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
